This day was a dream. It was beautiful from a visual perspective but what really captivated me were the priceless emotions that seemed to keep flowing throughout every single part of the celebration!!
There were so many moments throughout Amanda and Ed’s wedding day that I thought to myself, “This is why I love my job.” Between the bride’s first look with Dad and the Mother/Son dance…my mascara was smeared and a mess. This entire day was full of beautiful moments that were inspiring for me as young mom. I can only hope that one day when it’s James’ turn to get married that we will have the privilege of praying with him, crying with him, laughing with him and cheering him on like MaryKay, Ed, Mary, and Martin did for Amanda and Ed on Friday. Becoming a parent myself has made me cherish wedding days from a completely different perspective. Watching your child marry someone who you have prayed for their entire lives has to be overwhelmingly emotional, rewarding and surreal.
Amanda and Ed’s joy and love for the Lord radiated throughout every single part of their day. There was this amazing balance of tears and laughter that hung in the atmosphere from beginning to end. These type of emotions flowed throughout the entire day and it was so evident that the Jesus was the heart of their gathering. The gift of marriage, the correlation of marriage to the gospel, the commitment to sacrificial love through highs and lows, the beginning of a new family….it’s just all so beautiful.
The bridal party was something magical. Close friends and family all joined together to celebrate Amanda and Ed. I don’t think I have laughed or cried more with a bridal party in my life. Between silly moments when the couple did their bubble exit at the church, to football tackling the couple during portraits, to the groom’s sister super sweet and emotional speech at the reception.
Mr. & Mrs. Cole. I am hoping for the the most beautiful marriage for you both. You are both such lights and I can’t wait to see how you two grow with each other throughout the coming years. Enjoy reliving your day through your images!!!
