Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE weddings. There is a reason that I specialize in them. I love the hustle and bustle. I love the flow from getting ready shots, details, ceremony, family photos, portraits, and the reception. But sometimes I love it when we throw all of that out the window and do something simple and non-traditional! And that is exactly what Pete and Sarah did.
Pete and Sarah got married in Plattsburgh, NY on April 21, 2023. They had a private ceremony on that day and chose to have their larger celebration the next day. They had a lovely brunch buffet full of traditional breakfast items, fresh fruit, pulled pork, punch, coffee, and tea. They decorated the tables with crisp white linens, blush pink flowers, baby’s breath, tea candles, and gold accents. They were surrounded by those they loved most. It was simple. It was elegant. It was perfect.
We lucked out with a relatively warm day, considering I could have thrown a ball and it would have crossed the border into Canada. The sun was shining and there was a lovely park with a river across from City Hall. Pete mentioned that taking these pictures was the one part of the day him and Sarah were stressing over. By the end of the day they said taking their wedding pictures was the highlight of whole wedding!
I hope you enjoy looking through these images. It was the perfect way to kick off wedding season!
Congrats, again, to Peter and Sarah!
