Sam and Brandon’s Micro Wedding: Clay, NY

I always love big weddings, so much goes into them and it is hard not to appreciate the hard work and time to planning every detail. But there is just something so special about small, at-home celebrations.

Sam and Brandon had an intimate gathering with just family at the groom’s home in Clay, NY. It was as perfect as you could dream of.

As I walked into the newly constructed home, natural light filled the room and I was instantly giddy. I knew these pictures were going to be perfect. I was greeted by the bride and she introduced me to her wonderful family and soon-to-be family. They instantly treated me like another guest.

Prior to the ceremony everyone had drinks and munchies while they mingled. The guys eventually went to the garage to smoke a few cigars while Sam put on her dress. The ceremony was so sweet and intimate. You could feel the love in the room.

It drizzled for a most of the day but as luck would have it, right as we took the last family formal picture inside, I started to see pockets of sunlight peeking through the clouds outside. I quickly grabbed the newlyweds and we shot some gorgeous portraits right outside in the open field.

Thank you again to Sam and Brandon for welcoming me into their home and making me feel like family. I hope you enjoy!
