Heather and Jim were married on Sunday, August 29, 2021. They had an afternoon wedding at Curtis Manor in Oswego, New York. When I arrived at the venue it was a torrential downpour but I walked into this gorgeous rustic barn that was overflowing with babies breath centerpieces, burlap finishes, glowing candles and green ivy. Several giant chandeliers that were adorned with greenery hung from the ceiling. Heather and Jim had a very intimate gathering so the ceremony and reception spaces were held all in this giant room. The flow was seamless. The couple was married at the end of the barn in front of two white washed barn doors that were draped in burlap.

About an hour before the ceremony the rain stopped and the sun began to peak out from the clouds. We were able to successfully get some gorgeous portraits of the bride and groom and their family on the property. The giant silos made a wonderful backdrop as well as the many barns and oversized grass area.

The bride has two sons and the groom has one young daughter. The kids were so sweet and so excited to see their parents get married…and for cake! The couple intertwined their family through marriage and celebrated that with a sand unity. They had each child pour their own color sand into a shadow box. This symbolized the two families joining together.

I met Heather and Jim a year ago during a fall mini session while I was 8 months pregnant! I fell in love with their family instantly and was so happy when they chose me to capture their wedding day. Thank you again Heather and Jim!
